Rolex Bubbleback series

The Rolex bubbleback series used to the King of watches in the 1980-90s. Even though its popularity is no longer the same as before, the Rolex Bubbleback series can be very interesting for collectors as it has great variations in sizes, dials and materials used.

We can see a slow trend on the revival of these Rolex Bubbleback watches as those with original dials are hard to come by already. Moreover, the prices of the Big Bubbleback has also increased. Even though the Rolex Ref 8171 is a Triple calendars moonphase watch, it can still be classified a the Biggest Bubbleback as it used the similar sealed rotor bubbleback movement.

Rolex ref 8171 is 38mm in size

38mm versus 32mm Bubbleback
