The Goro’s silver jewelry is an interesting and fun object as its colour would evolve upon wearing them. This is especially so for the Goro’s Gold Tip Feather 先金向右羽毛.

This is the how a silver & gold tip Goro’s feather looks freshly minted 

After wearing it, the colours of the silver feather will evolve to what collectors called the Rainbow colours

One could easily get back the silver shine by cleaning it with silver polish but I think it is a nicer colour after the feather has interacted with the body, the air and temperature from the surroundings.

There are collectors who wanted a quick patina by soaking it with soup containing sulphur but the result is not natural as the whole feather will be blackened to an artificial look.

Start of 2024

I have started the year by receiving my Rolex ref 18239bic back from service from the Rolex center. The watch has been serviced with replacement of correct parts and is good to go for a long time. I have been very cautious this year with regards to purchase of watches as I have set myself a target to limit myself to only 4 watches for 2024.

Firstly, one needs to queue up in order to get into the shop. Secondly, one is only allowed the basic models for the first few purchase and gradually goes up the scale in order to be eligible for purchase of the rarer items.
