Calendar Auto Orient Swimmer World Trip for a start of my new Blog 2020

This is my new blog as I could not sign in for the previous one http://vintage-watch.blogspot.com/. I have decided to restart a new watch blog after failure to sign in to my old one. Hope you will enjoy my new blog. I will also try to highlight some of the important watches that I have collected over the years.

Of all the diver watches, The Calendar Auto Orient Swimmer World Trip is one the most beautiful one. We know James Bond wears the Rolex Submariner no crown guard and in the context of the Japanese, this watch was worn by J3 from Spycatcher J3. Bought the watch in Dec 2019 19376

This is a 1963 Calendar Auto Orient Swimmer World Trip Diver Watch. It was Japan's First Marked Diver Watch before Seiko's 1965 6217. Only very few of these is known in existence (less than 5 including this model). This watch in my opinion is one of the nicest diver watch model with a diver bezel that includes world time cities integrated into the diver bezel. Many of the Japanese diver watches were much harder to find than the Swiss Made ones. This Calendar Auto Orient is a good example.

For the year 2020, I have decided to streamline and reduce my collection of watches with the "1 in 1 Out" rules. One watch has to go before another can come in.

Longines Art Deco Tonneau watch

I have always long for a Longines Art Deco Tonneau watch as I used to have one in silver more than 20 years ago. Not sure why I sold it away...
