The Rolex Datejust is an iconic watch for Rolex. It has evolved from the early Rolex bubbleback to become the Datejust. I have decided to focus on the Datejust collection limiting to the four digit series namely 1600,1601, 1603, 1607 and try not to venture into the 5 digits quick set.
By the time Rolex produces the 5 digits Rolex, the number of Rolex watches have drastically increased. The Rolex Datejust series are the new Rolex Sports as there are growing popularity. There are not many of these in the shops as most of these watches have been sold overseas to Europe and US by the dealers as there are stronger demand there. The popularity is largely due to the fact that the vintage Rolex sports such as the Rolex Submariner, Explorers etc were also using the same movement.
