Rolex GMT ref 6542 Oyster Perpetual No date

The Rolex 6542 GMT with the gilt dial and small arrow has been made famous by Fidel Castro and James Bond's Pussy Galore. Many years back during the late 1980s and 1990s, these were cheap sports watches that was sold between US$800-1000. One of the famous celebrities wearing this was Pussy Galore from James Bond movie.

I have an old Rolex GMT ref 6542 and the old bezel has been broken and have to be replaced by an after market one. The  dial of the watch has been aged and I am struggling to see if need to replace it with the service dial?
