As per my earlier blog, I have just started to own an Alain Silberstein watch, finally after waiting for 20 plus years. As mentioned earlier, Alain Silberstein watches are renowned for their avant-garde design and playful aesthetics, embodying a unique fusion of art and horology. Silberstein, a French architect and designer, is celebrated for breaking away from traditional watchmaking norms, infusing his timepieces with bold colors, geometric shapes, and whimsical elements.
His creations often feature primary colors, distinctive hands, and unconventional materials, setting them apart as true works of wearable art. Alain Silberstein's innovative approach to watch design has garnered a cult following among enthusiasts who appreciate the marriage of creativity and craftsmanship. Each Alain Silberstein watch is not merely a timekeeping instrument but a statement piece that reflects the brand's commitment to pushing boundaries in the world of haute horlogerie. My earlier Alian Siberstein watch has a nice blue colour and it has the 5100 Lemania movement chronograph minus the moonphase functions.
This is the second versions of the watch with the additional moonphase functions which I have found from Taleda Lugano Switzerland.
The dial is minimalist, without traditional numerals, featuring simple linear hour markers. It offers a complete triple calendar with dedicated windows for the day of the week and the month, while the date is indicated by a central hand pointing to an outer numbered scale (1 to 31). It also includes a moon phase indicator.
The dial features luminous indexes as well as many whimsical details including brightly coloured and uniquely shaped hand set, moonphase, smiley/happy face aperture, pointer date, day/night and sub seconds dial. This watch is protected by a sapphire crystal glass and fitted with primary colour geometrically shaped chronograph pushers and crown.

One of the unique fauture of this particular Alain Silberstein, the Krono Bauhaus 2 is a limited edition of 999 pieces and comes set in a 40mm stainless steel case with colourful lacquered sides in blue, cream and green.
It is powered by the infamous Swiss Valjoux 7751 which can be viewed through the exhibition case back. Lastly, the watch comes fitted on a stainless steel polished/sandblasted bracelet with brushed butterfly clasp.
The addition of this Colourful Alain Silberstein Krono Bauhaus II using the Caliber 7751 shall complete my small collection of the Alain Silberstein series.
