高山隆 Takashi Takayama  "STOP LIGHT" "1-eyed skull"   Pendant

Stop Light is a silver jewelry workshop and company in Japan. The representative motif of "STOP LIGHT" is the "1-eyed skull" . This design is not intended to make an impact, but instead embodies the message of Mr. Takashi Takayama ``Live your life with a focus,'' and the concept of the brand.

Previously, I only collect Goro’s sliver jewelry. After I have been introduced to the brand, I am deeply impressed by the brand’s message. The message of Mr. Takayama (born 1954) is, ``You may never be able to see much with only one eye, but if you are a man, keep your eyes firmly fixed on the path you believe in.'' This belief, along with the design, resonates with people, and the products are so popular that most of the items sold in stores are out of stock and difficult to obtain.  Designer Takashi Takayama finishes all stoplight items by himself without subcontracting and everything is done by hand.

One needs to take note that there are many fakes and replica and it is important to get it from a reputable retailers.

The famous red helmet

As the Turquoise is a rather fragile element, one needs to be skilful in ensuring that the hammering does not damage the stone.

Bought from a reputable shop in Taipei.

Goro Takahashi, the legendary Japanese craftsman of Native American style jewelry was a close friend of Takashi Takayama
